個展” CHICKEN “

フィギュア作品「チキンサピエンス」の国内発表を兼ねた展覧会を東京で行います。
家畜を中心に、これまで多くの動物を描いてきました。なかでも鶏と人を融合させた「チキンサピエンス」は、私にとって重要なモチーフとなっています。
今回、このチキンサピエンスがフィリピンのアートトイメーカーArt Toys とコラボレーションし、フィギュア化されました。2025年2月にフィリピンで開催されたアートフェアで先行販売を行い、現地販売分は完売いたしました。
このたび、銀座の秋華洞で新作絵画と合わせてフィギュアを国内限定販売いたします。ぜひお立ち寄りください。

［チキンサピエンスについて］
食べ物でもある鶏を擬人化して尊厳を与えた姿に、知恵を意味するラテン語を用いてチキンサピエンスと名付けました。弱さと強さを併せ持つ捉えがたい彼らの姿を、印象と実態が異なる「人々」や「現代社会」と重ね、絵画によって記録される時代の観測点として描いています。

I will be holding a solo exhibition in Tokyo, Japan to celebrate the domestic unveiling of the “Chicken Sapiens” figurine.
My artistic focus has long centred on animals, particularly livestock. Among my creations, the “Chicken Sapiens,” a fusion of chicken and human, holds significant importance as a recurring motif.
Now, the “Chicken Sapiens” has been brought to life as a figurinethrough a collaboration with the Filipino art toy maker, Art Toys. It was first made available at an art fair in the Philippines in February 2025, where the local stock sold out completely.
I am pleased to announce that this figurine, along with new paintings, will be available for limited domestic sale at Shūkadō Gallery in Ginza, Tokyo. I warmly invite you to visit the exhibition.

I named these anthropomorphized chickens, a creature also seen as food, “Chicken Sapiens” – using the Latin word for wisdom – to bestow upon them a sense of dignity. Their elusive nature, embodying both weakness and strength, is mirrored in the complexities of “people” and “contemporary society,” where impression and reality often diverge. Through my paintings, I depict them as observation points of our time, recorded for posterity.
